PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

A Final Microbial Barrier Designed Around Real Operating Conditions The UV Water Purifier uses germicidal UVC light to inactivate bacteria, viruses and other susceptible microorganisms as water passes through the stainless-steel reactor. It is suitable for treated municipal water, groundwater after appropriate pretreatment, RO or UF permeate, process water and filtered reuse water.

Unlike chemical dosing, standard UV treatment does not add disinfectant, alter taste or require chemical storage. Treatment is immediate, making the system easy to integrate into continuous process lines and packaged water-treatment skids.

How 265 nm UV-C Disinfection Works

264 nm UV-C light is close to the peak absorption wavelength of microbial DNA and RNA. As water flows through the UV chamber, the UV lamp emits energy that penetrates bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms, causing photochemical damage to their genetic material. This prevents them from replicating and reproducing, effectively inactivating them. The process requires no chemical additives, does not significantly alter the composition of the water, and leaves no disinfectant residue.

Design & Construction

• UV Chamber (Reactor): Manufactured from polished SS304 stainless steel, with SS316L available for corrosive water or demanding industrial applications.
• UV Lamp: High-output low-pressure UVC lamp operating at 265 nm for effective microbial inactivation. Standard lamp life is approximately 8,000-9000 hours.
• Quartz Sleeve: High-purity quartz protects the UV lamp from direct water contact while maintaining efficient UV transmission.
• Electronic Ballast: Provides stable lamp output and includes preheating, lamp-failure protection and optional audible and visual alarms.
• Control System: Available with operating-status indication, accumulated working-time display, lamp-life monitoring and UV intensity display.

Quartz Sleeve The quartz sleeve protects the UV lamp and allows UV-C light to pass through the water. Mineral deposits or dirt buildup can reduce UV transmission and lower system performance. Simply clean the quartz sleeve regularly with a suitable descaling solution. If it becomes damaged or cannot be cleaned effectively, replacement is recommended. Regular lamp replacement and quartz sleeve maintenance ensure consistent UV disinfection performance.
