UV sterilization

After being irradiated by ultraviolet rays, the protein and nucleic acid of microorganisms will absorb the energy of the ultraviolet spectrum, which will lead to the denaturation of microorganism proteins and the death of microorganisms.

UV sterilization equipment is simple, does not require supporting equipment, has low cost, convenient operation and management, and has a wide range of applications. UV sterilization method is generally applicable to the caps of the following beverage filling:


1. Carbonated drinks

Carbonated beverages containing CO2 are acidic and can inhibit the growth of microorganisms. Therefore, the use of ultraviolet disinfection on the caps of carbonated beverages can meet the needs. In the production process of this method, the new bottle caps packed in batches are poured into the storage bin of the cap conveying machine, and the bottle caps are sterilized by ultraviolet irradiation in the storage bin of the cap conveying machine or on the conveyor belt; ultraviolet germicidal lamps can also be used It is installed on the lower cap groove of the cap conveying machine, so that the inner surface of the bottle cap is irradiated with ultraviolet rays for sterilization, and after the sterilization, it is directly sent to the cap screwing machine.


2. Mineral water drinks

For the production of mineral water, the state has established stricter regulations, which strictly limit the total number of colonies, molds and E. coli, and the value is zero. Regardless of whether the mineral water is filtered and sterilized, the total number of bacteria, mold and E. coli should meet the national standards. Because mineral water contains only inorganic salts, no microbial nutrient sources, and lack of nutrients produced by engineering microorganisms, ultraviolet disinfection can also be used for mineral water bottle caps.


3. High-temperature filled tea beverages and fruit juice beverages

Tea drinks and fruit juice drinks contain a variety of microorganisms (bacteria, molds, yeasts, etc.), and the purpose of sterilizing the drinks is to kill these microorganisms. Nowadays, the method of high temperature and short time sterilization is commonly used, also called instantaneous sterilization. High-temperature filling refers to the high-temperature-resistant bottle cap that cools the instant-sterilized beverage between 85°C and 92°C. It adopts a full-bottle filling method. After filling and capping (or screwing the cap), an inverting device is added, and the The bottle body is poured into the temperature range of 90℃~180℃, and the inside of the bottle cap is sterilized by the high temperature of the beverage itself. Therefore, the pretreatment of bottle caps can also be sterilized by ultraviolet rays.
