Agua Topone's UV Water Disinfection Systems removes 99 percent of microbial contaminants without using any potentially harmful and hazardous chemicals. Water enters through the top port of the cylinder and swirls around a low-pressure mercury vapor lamp, which emits u light with a wavelength of 253.7nm. Bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms absorb the ultraviolet light would be emitted by the lamp light, breaking the DNA and RNA of these harmful substances, which are then safely disposed of in the cylinder casing of the uv disinfection systems. The treated water can be discharged through another port at the top of the stainless steel chamber for human use.

Does the water entering the system need to be filtered before the UV sterilization system is used for sterilization?

How to choose the right UV system?
Each UV systems has its own pretreatment requirements, such as certain turbidity, iron, hardness and ultraviolet transmittance (UVT), etc. Too much impurity in water will lead to a low UV transmission rate, reducing the disinfection effect of the system, if the UV transmission capacity of water is poor. To solve this problem, you need a larger UV sterilization system and a higher water flow rate. However, if your water is very clean, then the UVT percentage should be fine
